Yes, sleazy salespeople still exist. The kind who have one thing to sell, and by god they’re going to sell it to you, whether you need it or not.

In 2016 I went to a happy-hour-with-presentation type event that the women’s arm of the local financial planning association put on. It was supposed to be educational, and most of us in the room were professionally certified financial planners.
